New Orleans Pelicans Vs Los Angeles Clippers -4.0

pelicans vs clippers

Play In Game: 10:00 pm ET on Friday April 15, 2022

The Clippers looked lackluster against Minnesota, and simply did not have enough to overcome Anthony Edwards and D’angelo Russell. Los Angeles has been a veteran defensive squad all season long, which explains why the total sits at just 215.5. The Clippers are also four-point favorites, which makes sense given the travel the Pelicans have to undertake, and the extra day of rest for the Clippers. When it comes to Los Angeles, teams need to focus on Paul George. He is the focal point of the Clippers offense and if New Orleans can shut him down, they will likely be able to succeed or at least keep the game within striking distance.

These two teams last played on April 3rd where the Clippers won convincingly 119-100. It was a struggle for the Pelicans as Ingram and McCollum combined to shoot 10 for 29 from the field. First of all, the spread here is sharp and while I would love to see the Pelicans continue their hot streak, I think the Clippers have the veteran savvy and defense to lock them down. With that being said, I think this total is just too low. Both offenses can heat up and we have multiple players on each side that can get hot from three-point range. In a game where New Orleans’ best shooters were ice cold, the game flew past 215.5. My best bet in this one, take the Over!
