Next up in NFL Football are the Divisional Rounds. The Bengals will be playing the first game again thanks to their win against the Raiders. This time they'll go up against the AFC's top-ranked team, the Tennessee Titans, who are coming off their bye-week. That is the AFC game for Saturday, and the second game of the day will be over in the NFC, where the Green Bay Packers, fresh off their bye-week, will host the San Francisco 49ers, who upset the Cowboys in Dallas. The Packers are the overall favorites to win the Super Bowl at +350, followed closely by the Chiefs at +400. Despite being the second favorite to win it all, and despite playing at home this week, the Chiefs are only a 2.5 point favorite against the Buffalo Bills in what will be the last game of the Divisional Round on Sunday evening. And I agree with that. I actually think the Bills pull off the slight upset against the Chiefs. KC isn't as dominant as it was the year they won the Super Bowl.
In their last 5 games they beat Pittsburgh twice at home, but lost to the Bengals, needed OT to beat the Chargers, and beat a bad Broncos team by 4 points. Buffalo, meanwhile, comes in winners of their last 5, including two against NE, and their loss before the 5-game win streak was to the defending champion Buccaneers in Tampa Bay in OT. The Chiefs are -135 and the Bills are +115 with the money line. The over/under is 55 points, and I think it will go over. Both of these teams are averaging just over 28 points per game. These two teams met way back in mid-October, when the Bills beat the Chiefs easily 38-20 in KC. I don't think this will be a blowout, and although it is not always easy to beat the same team twice in the same year, and Mahomes is in better shape now than he was back then, I still think Buffalo finds a way to win on the road and advance to the Conference Championship game, probably against the Bucs. Kickoff is at 3:30 PM pst from Arrowhead Stadium in KC, where the current forecast looks to be a cool 36 degrees but sunny out.
