For the second straight week, the Bengals play in the earliest game of the weekend, but this time they have to travel to Tennessee to take on the rested Titans. How rested are the Titans? The injury report was pretty much clean this week aside from the players already on the IR. In fact, Derrick Henry returned to practice this week and is expected to suit up for the first time since fracturing a bone in his foot midway through the season. The Bengals are coming off a fairly convincing 26-19 victory over the Raiders last Saturday. It was convincing because the Bengals really didn’t play all that well, showing some understandable nerves for the game. The good news for the Bengals, defensive end Tre Hendirckson and defensive tackle Mike Daniels are both expected to play. The injury that wil hurt the Bengals, especially with Henry back, is the loss of defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, one of their best run stuffers. The key here is going to be if the Bengals’ offensive line can protect Joe Burrow and if the Cincinnati defensive line can stop Derrick Henry. There could be some rust for King Henry, and there hasn’t been any word from Coach Mike Vrabel on a snap count. But this is the playoffs, so I expect Henry to get his full complement of work if he has been deemed healthy enough to play. I’ll cut to the chase, I like the Titans here on full rest. The banged up defensive line is one more injury away from total collapse, and when you’re injured, the last thing you want to do is tackle Derrick Henry 25 times. Lay the points with the Titans as the Bengals’ magic season comes to an end. Kickoff is Saturday, January 22 at 4:30 pm ET on CBS.
