Being from Chicago I am a big time Bear fan and I am looking forward to this matchup. What an ugly game we have for Monday Night Football this week. Justin Fields and the Bears visit Big Ben and the Steelers at Heinz Field, with a total of just 39 points. I get it, both offenses have looked anemic this season. The Bears actually looked decent last week with Fields starting to use his legs more. The rookie quarterback ran for over 100 yards against the 49ers, but Chicago still fell short in the end. The Steelers knocked off AFC North division rivals the Cleveland Browns in what was a slugfest 15-10 final score. To everyone’s surprise, running back David Montgomery returned to practice this week, although his status for Monday Night Football is unclear. With a bye coming up for Chicago, it makes sense for them to rest Montgomery for a couple more weeks. Khalil Mack also missed last game, and looks like he’ll miss another on Monday. The Steelers are mostly healthy, and Big Ben at home in primetime used to be a thing. Of course, Ben has been a shell of his former self this season, so it’s hard to lay the points with this Pittsburgh offense. Still, if TJ Watt and the Steelers D-line can keep Fields in the pocket, I don’t like Chicago’s chances of keeping up in this game. MyBookie sportsbook has Pittsburgh -6.5 with the O/U at 39. I want nothing to do with this total, but given that it is so low, I am going to take the points with the Bears in what should be another rock fight.
