My how the mighty have fallen in Seattle. The Seahawks are entering their second week without quarterback Russell Wilson, and go from facing the Steelers in Pittsburgh to facing the well rested New Orleans Saints coming off their bye. This Seattle defense has been dreadful this season, and I would not take anything away from keeping it close with a Pittsburgh offense that is just as bad. The Saints are a different story, with one of the best play-callers in the history of the NFL, and a rested Alvin Kamara. THe Saints will still be without wide receiver Michael Thomas, who is eligible to come off the IR this week, but they should be getting back Tre’Quan Smith who will be another deep threat for Jameis Winston to hit. Also back at practice was linebacker Kwon Alexander and left tackle Terron Armstead, both key members of the defense the Saints would love to get back. The Seahawks are still without running back Chris Carson, and it isn’t looking great for back up Alex Collins either who hasn’t practiced all week. The Saints have a stingy run defense as it is, so whoever fills in might have a challenging night ahead of them. I have had a hard time picking a side in this game, so I’ve settled on my best bet for Monday night: the over 42.5.
