Monday night football will see the surprising 3-0 Raiders take on the 2-1 Chargers. The Raiders have defied the odds so far, quite literally, beating the Ravens, the Steelers, and the Dolphins straight up and going 2-1 against the spread. The Chargers have been equally impressive losing to Dallas but beating Washington and Kansas City on the road. Well, this may feel like a road game again as the Raiders return to Los Angeles. Herbert and the Chargers offense found their groove in Week 3 against the Chiefs. The Raiders offense has looked good and bad at times this year, and will be taking on a Chargers offense that held Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott more or less in check. It’s hard to go against the Raiders with how they have looked, but I still think it is a case of smoke and mirrors. An overtime win at home and a victory over a Steelers team that may just not be that good are hardly reasons to have Super Bowl aspirations. Neither is beating Miami’s backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett. I expect public money to pound the Raiders here, so if you can ever get less than a touchdown with the Chargers, grab it. I am fine with laying the field goal as it is because I think the Chargers will overwhelm the Raiders in this one.
